Setting the Expectation for this Travel Blog

I find writing really, really difficult. But, I also love sharing my (sometimes chaotic, other times hilarious) travel experiences and guides with others who are here to listen. I have big goals for this project and am not trying to lose myself in the process.

This blog is not meant to be my main source of income, for a few reasons:

  1. I love my 9-5, where I spend my days nerding out about electric vehicles. My employer also takes excellent care of their staff as a certified B-Corp, which is a security I refuse to get up. Never again do I want to stress about health insurance or stable income.

  2. Ad-crammed blogs and poor user experience drive me insane. You won’t be seeing any distracting ads here, and if there is an issue with your experience navigating through the blog, let me know.

  3. My aspiration is to be a travel writer and not an influencer. I don’t want to influence people to go to destinations and make money off of it— I strive share things that are intriguing and advice that’s actually backed by research while writing it the way I want (goodbye, SEO phrases). I’m by no means an expert at this and acknowledge that. This is just something I wish I had to reference when traveling with core themes in mind: adventure, baking, coffee, and history-rich destinations.

If you are looking for “5 Unforgettable Experiences in XX,” I advise you to look elsewhere. Want to hear about a nude fiddling competition that takes place in a creek in northern Sweden? Stick around and find out.

Mvh, Sofia
